SpatialCapture records video, calibrated camera movement and selected sensors on your iPhone or iPad for later use in Blender or external reconstruction tools. It has no accounts, advertising, tracking, analytics SDKs, or developer-operated recording uploads. We do not receive recordings, sensor data or location from the app.
A recording contains video, optional microphone audio, camera position and calibration, timestamps, device model and OS version. On devices with a LiDAR Scanner, it also contains depth, confidence and color reference images. When motion recording is enabled it contains gyroscope, acceleration, gravity and device orientation samples.
GPS location is off by default. If you enable it and grant location access, the recording can include latitude, longitude, altitude, speed, direction of travel, accuracy and measurement times. Location access is requested only While Using the App. Location and motion recording stop when the take stops or the app enters the background. You can deny or revoke permissions in iOS Settings; GPS and audio are optional.
Nothing is uploaded automatically. Export ZIP uses the system share sheet and includes all saved recording data, including location when enabled. Share video exports only the movie, including its audio when recorded. Check the contents before sharing. If you send files to an AI service, cloud drive, Blender workflow or another recipient, that service or recipient controls its copy under its own policies. SpatialCapture does not connect to an LLM or Blender server.
Recordings are stored in Files → On My iPhone/iPad → SpatialCapture → Takes until you delete them. Export ZIP also creates a reusable archive in the app's cache. iOS can remove cached archives; deleting the app removes its local recordings and cached archives. Copies you have shared, and any backups managed by iOS or your computer, are controlled separately. Your device's backup settings may include app data.
