As of now, there is only one generation of BYD Han, which covers the production period of 2022 to the present. The 1st-generation model offers a boot volume of 410 liters. Since there are no previous generations for comparison, there has been no significant change in trunk space over time. As new generations are introduced in the future, the boot space dynamics of the BYD Han models might change.

The BYD Han trunk size fares well when compared to some other models within the BYD lineup. For instance, the BYD Tang has a significantly smaller boot volume at 235 liters, while the BYD Atto 3 boasts a slightly larger boot with 440 liters. In this context, the BYD Han occupies a competitive position within the BYD lineup in terms of trunk space.

Compared to its nearest competitors, the BYD Han offers a reasonable boot volume. While the Peugeot Partner has a larger boot space of 1800 liters and 4000 liters with rear seats folded, both the Tesla Model S and Lotus Eletre have a smaller trunk volume of 793 liters and 688 liters, respectively. The Mercedes-Benz EQS SUV also has a larger boot space at 645 liters. Although the BYD Han's trunk volume may not be quite as expansive as some of its competitors, it still holds its ground in terms of trunk space, length, and wheelbase measurements in the electric vehicle market.
